Fall Updates: In-Person Thursdays in Leslieville, New Client Openings and Two Virtual Groups

Greetings all,

I hope the summer has been treating you well and has offered you moments of community, care and rest. There is a lot happening at the clinic this fall, so here is everything in one place: in-person sessions are finally here, I have openings for new clients, and two virtual groups are on the calendar.

In-Person Sessions on Thursdays in Leslieville

You’ve been asking, and I’m delivering! Beginning September 3rd, I’m practicing in person every Thursday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm out of Slow Medicine Company, a modern yoga studio and therapeutic clinic in Leslieville, located at 250 Carlaw Avenue, Suite 101, Toronto.

You can book a Thursday session directly through my online calendar: juliagibran.janeapp.com.

Please note that any offerings outside of somatic psychotherapy are separate from my registered Social Work designation and are not billable through insurance under that designation.

Accepting New Clients for Virtual EMDR and Somatic Therapy

I currently have virtual EMDR and somatic therapy spots open. If you were previously on my waitlist and are still seeking therapy, please email admin@juliagibran.com and we will book an intake call for you as soon as possible. New to my practice? You can request a free 20-minute consultation here.

Virtual Group Therapy Offerings

Healing Through the Body: An 8-Week Virtual Somatic Psychotherapy Group

This group is for mental health and wellness professionals who are ready to reconnect with safety after experiences of secrecy and cultural trauma. Over eight weeks we’ll explore somatic movement practices, trauma-informed psychoeducation, and a space for connection and nervous system support.

Building Connection: Mind & Body Skills for Healing

Our annual DBT group is back! Nicole and I will be running this 8-week virtual program in late fall and/or early winter, one evening per week. It combines evidence-based DBT tools with gentle, somatic body-based practices so you can learn to regulate emotions, build resilience and reconnect with your body in a safe, supportive space.

CSA Survivors Group: On Hold, Waitlist Open

The CSA group offering is on hold for now due to low enrollment; however, this is an area I am deeply committed to supporting. If you or someone you know is interested in receiving support, email me and I’ll add you to the waitlist for future offerings.

Whether it’s a Thursday in Leslieville, a virtual session from wherever you are, or one of the groups above, I’d love to support you this season. Questions about any of it? Reach out at admin@juliagibran.com or get started here.

With care,
Julia
